Today, I'm going to share a really great video with you. In my series, men and women fight side-by-side against monsters of the dark. I've gotten some questions over the last year asking if it's realistic to have women fight with the same proficiency as men.
The answer is yea. One reason is that in the setting of my story, monsters can only be hurt by weapons made of as certain substance: Eldanar. The mystical properties of Eldanar strengthen whoever wields it enabling them to do battle against creatures many times stronger.
However, that's not the only reason men and women fight along side each other. Another reason is because they can.
Recently, when the Witcher series came out on Netflix there was a bit of a controversy on whether or not the show depicts combat realistically. One of the criticisms was how women could out duel men. It turns out that in armed combat, the differences between men and women are largely negated by the equipment.
