The critical part of writing a good scene is to make sure the POV character of that scene (and most of the characters as a matter of fact) have a real goal they're going to work toward.
It isn't easy to always remember that. Heck, it took me a while just to learn how to write that, and I still don't always do it consistently. Anyway, here's a vid I found that really helped me with writing good goals for good scenes. I hope it's valuable to you too:
