Today I want to highlight another video that I've found tremendously useful. It's all about character motivation.
I think motivation is one of the harder things for writers to nail down, myself included. Often we have a character who "wants to save the world!" That's great and all, but the reader will want to know why he/she wants to save the world. What makes the world worth saving in that character's mind?
That's where this video comes in. It relies heavily on someone seeing the Batman Begins movie, which if you haven't, is a high recommend from me. Most people have, so I feel confident in sharing this with you.
Anyhow, if you struggle with making characters "believable" then their lack of a compelling motivation might be why. This video really helped me round out my characters, especially my supporting characters, so I hope you finding helpful too.
